Local initiatives to global movement | Charter Seminar

 – 7 March 2022 | 14.30-15.45 CET –

What started with a handful of local governments declaring their intention to act to promote gender equality has developed into a European community of nearly 2,000 signatories in 36 countries. Beyond chapters and clauses lies a common goal, what really matters at the end of the day: bringing equality closer to home.

2021 was a milestone year for the Charter; CEMR marked 15 years of commitment and action in favour of gender equality and women’s rights at local and regional level across Europe. CEMR organised a series of workshops to reflect together with members, partners and Charter signatories on how the Charter could be improved and modernised.

Join us to discover the key findings and insights of the 2021 reflection process and CEMR’s recommendations to revitalise the Charter and its tools in 2022-2023. It’s time to accelerate progress and achievement of the goals outlined in European and global equality agendas. We’re ready, are you?
